Arriva UK Bus’ acclaimed real-time travel app has been recognised for the impact it has had in improving the customer experience by the second annual UK Digital Experience Awards.
The industry leading mobile travel companion, which is designed to put the most up-to-date travel information right at the fingertips of passengers by delivering unprecedented access to real-time maps and service updates, has been shortlisted for two accolades at the DXA gala luncheon due to take place on 27th November at the Park Plaza Riverbank, London.
On the day, a team from Arriva will first present details about the Arriva Bus app to a team of digital industry insiders, before being scored and benchmarked against others finalists in the sector-specific, Technology in Hospitality / Travel / Retail category, and for the blue-riband Best App/ Mobile-First Strategy prize.

A one-stop-shop for journey planning, timetables, and live maps, the Arriva Bus app provides a wealth of information – from real-time information, giving customers the opportunity to track services and see where vehicles are on the route via a live map, to on bus information about their likely arrival time and when to get off.
In addition, the app includes a journey planner to inform customers of their travel options such as the nearest bus stop, which bus they should get, and where to get off; as well as access to all regional timetables, complete with comprehensive departure and arrival times, as well as journey durations.
