As part of a 10-day summer spectacular, street-food inspired sauce company Meat Lust has announced its Sauce and the City food and booze bus tour across the city of Manchester.
Okay Vegans, look away now. You too Vegetarians! In fact, this advice applies to everyone who’s not immediately intrigued at the sound of being transported around Manchester, gorging on some of the finest street-food derived dishes that money can buy.
Organised by street-food inspired sauce company Meat Lust, the Sauce and the City tour will see the collaboration of Greater Manchester’s finest food outlets with Meat Lust in their repurposed East Lancs bodied Volvo Olympian double decker bus, which comes kitted out with its own barbeque grill.
The Meat Lust tour will depart from B.Eat Street on Deansgate each day of its ten-day event, starting on Thursday July 20, and will collaborating with the likes of Crazy Pedro’s Part-Time Pizza Parlour, The Hip Hop Chip Shop, Sugar Rays and Northern Soul Grilled Cheese. Mmm cheese!
To ensure the bus is well-oiled in the sweltering July heat, Meat Lust has also teamed up with the Shindigger Brewery, TicketyBrew and BrewDog to stock up the on-board bar. Hic!
If that doesn’t get you all hot and smokin’, the soundtrack will be provided by local musicians, including Stillia, Kevill and Spring King.
Interestingly, Adam Richman, the host of Travel Channel’s Man v. Food and Secret Eats with Adam Richman, will be meeting Mancunian fans throughout the week.
Scott Dixon, Director of The Flava People and third-generation flavour fanatic, said: “Manchester is our home and we’re proud to call ourselves a Mancunian business. It’s an incredible city – blessed with great food, amazing booze, brilliant people and an infectious energy.
“To capitalise on this, we’ve come up with is a pretty innovative concept in ‘Sauce and the City’. We’re orchestrating unique and exciting collaborations with some of the most celebrated new characters Manchester has to offer.
“The food partners have been tasked with creating a miniature dish; something packed with punchy, powerful flavours to give guests a mouthful they’ll never forget. It’s a chance for the chefs to get really creative by using one of our Meat Lust sauces and creating something unique.”
Tickets to hop on board the super saucy bus tour will set you back £30, which includes off-menu dishes and sessions at four of Meat Lust’s favourite Manchester food joints, an on-board food experience hosted by Beastro, four beers, after party options and side events, not to mention a souvenir pack full of meaty treats.
Each tour will last around three hours, tickets went on sale yesterday, so you better be quick to make sure you don’t miss out!
