This Valentine’s Day (Thursday 14th February), Better By Bus will be spreading the love with a special cash giveaway on Liverpool’s buses worth thousands of pounds.

Throughout Valentine’s Day, rainbow-coloured roses will be randomly placed on Arriva and Stagecoach buses, with a special note attached. Those who are lucky enough to find a rose will then snap a picture and send to Better By Bus, who will tell them how to claim their cash prizes.

The value of the rainbow roses will vary, with some worth hundreds of pounds, and one very special rose worth £500.

This special cash giveaway is part of Better By Bus’s latest campaign, All You Need Is Bus. The campaign is promoting the various benefits of bus travel, including new and improved buses, free WiFi and USB chargers, as well as the positive impact that bus travel has on the environment.

Lisa Pearson, campaign conductor at Better By Bus, said: “As Valentine’s Day is just a few days away and love is already in the air, we thought we’d join in with our very own rainbow roses. If you haven’t had the chance to try leaving the car at home and jumping on the bus instead, Thursday would be a great day to start. You may even find yourself £500 better off.

“Our Valentine’s promotion is happening during the same week as our latest campaign launch – All You Need Is Bus. The message of this campaign is simple and memorable – for commuting to work or school, for getting into town, for taking the kids for a fun day out, you don’t need your car, All You Need Is Bus!

“We’re pleased to say that Liverpool City Region’s bus network is the best outside of London, and we’re always thinking of new ways to say a special thank you to our passengers, as well as encourage even more people to hop on the bus.”

Better By Bus is led by Liverpool City Region’s Bus Alliance, which is made up of Merseytravel, Stagecoach and Arriva. The alliance formed in 2016 and aims to get more people on board by promoting the numerous benefits of catching the bus.
