Bus users in Liverpool got the red carpet treatment last week when Arriva rolled into Williamson Square to premier the sequel to its hugely popular mobile ticketing app.
Arriva’s mobile movie theatre invited people to bring along their smart phones and get connected with the recently re-launched m-ticket, whilst learning more about how it can help them to enjoy a slicker, suaver and more hassle-free journey.
Offering a glamourous setting, complete with Oscars, red-carpet and paparazzi, the event provided passers-by with a demonstration of the app and its functions from a team of dedicated Arriva staff, who also offered assistance in downloading it to phones, whilst serving-up complimentary cinema snacks.
Debra Heaton from Arriva North West said: “Our m-ticket has long led the way for mobile ticketing in the UK, but technology moves so fast these days, that we knew we had to give it a refresh to ensure it meets the expectations of our customers.
“We’ve listened to what they had to say, and have made the improvements that they wanted to see. The result is an app that is simple to use, easy to navigate, and fits neatly into our customer’s everyday lives. With a brand new look and smoother functionality, Arriva’s m-ticket is now faster, more responsive and bursting with enhanced features. In fact, we think it’s so super, that we rolled-out the red carpet so that it could be showcased in true cinematic style.”
Updated features on Arriva’s m-ticket means that it now seamlessly links with the Arriva travel app and website, is easier to navigate, and includes access to fare zone maps. No longer is there need for web access when displaying your ticket, although it is needed for initial purchase, and there is one-click ticket retrieval for easy display to the driver. E-mail confirmation of all ticket purchases is send immediately after each transaction.
