After 10 years of reporting on the latest bus news in North West England, North Wales and on the Isle of Man, the team behind The North West Bus Blog have decided not to renew our website hosting in January 2020.

The decision is two-fold; the first being many of our contributors are now working within the bus industry and have little time to contribute, the second is increasing website hosting costs.

In the meantime, we’ll still be blogging until January and then posting on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram sharing interesting content from time to time thereafter, so don’t forget to follow us.

We would like to thank every single person who helped and supported us over the past 10 years. We wouldn’t have achieved what we have done, without you!

Thank you for coming along for the ride x

Tom Harrison

I have no doubt that hosting etc comes at a cost while the service you provide is free to readers but, on the other hand, you need to weigh this against the number of readers you have. The post on Halton Buses was read by over 4,100 people in just two days. Some of your posts have reached five figures. To me at any rate this would be enough to justify the investment. While respecting your decision, social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter are really no substitute.

To all of you, many thanks, you’ve made buses interesting to many people, both bus users and enthusiasts, and its great to see you’ve took that interest into the bus industry, some day in the future you may well go on to run or own a bus company.

    Thanks for the ride.

and DING DING, off to the depot, to refuel.
