Today I decided to visit the depot of Warrington Borough Transport who trade as Network Warrington for a look at their latest purchases, the last time I managed to visit their depot was in February this year with the post A visit to Network Warrington.

Network Warrington have also acquired five second hand Volvo B7TL’s with Alexander ALX400 bodies from London Central registered, V115 LGC (151), V116 LGC (152), V141 LGC (153), V104 LGC (154) and V105 LGC (155) all have been converted to single door and refurbished with the Network Warrington standard moquette.

Standardising on a Volvo decker fleet apart from their soul Leyland Titan PD2 for special occasions, Network Warrington have recently also acquired two second hand Volvo B7TL’s with Wright Eclipse Gemini bodies formerly with London General, they’re registered LX53 AZW (191) and LX53 AZZ (192), these too have been converted to single door and refurbished with the Network Warrington standard moquette.

The additions of the Volvo B7TL’s now mean that the first of the Dennis Dart SLF 10.7M with Marshall Capital bodies can now be withdrawn for sale, already moved on to their new owners are T201 AFM (1) and T202 AFM (2) which are now with Charleston Coaches of Ormskirk, also on the list for onward sale are T203 AFM (3), T204 AFM (4), T205 AFM (5) & T206 AFM (6).

As it happens with the renewal of some of the single deck fleet with double decked buses, it has also prompted the sale of the four remaining Leyland Olympians in the fleet which are K711 ASC (156), K712 ASC (166), H517 RWX (169) and H519 RWX (170).

It’s interesting to note that Dennis Dart SLF 10.7M with MCV Capital body DA52 ZVM (30) has now been given a permanent roll as a Driver Training vehicle and is painted into a special variation of the livery for this purpose.

Those of you that have seen in the post at the beginning of the year that Dennis Dart SLF 10.7M with Marshall Capital Y627 GFM (27) was going for scrap following an electrical fire, it has now been replaced as the Warrington Disability partnership branded bus by VDL SB120 with Wright Cadet body DK07 EZL (75).

As stated in my previous post, at the time of writing that their Optare MetroRider’s where to be replaced with six Optare Solo M760’s registered, YJ11 EKA (201), YJ11 EKB (202), YJ11 EKC (203), YJ11 EKD (204), YJ11 EKE (205), YJ11 EKF (206). All feature the corporate interior along with full rear Mobitec LED destination displays.
