In this blog post, I will be writing about my trip to Manchester and the Trafford Centre.
I decided to go to Manchester after being told my original plan (which was Coventry) was £106.00!
The first journey of the day was in a taxi, to get to Winsford Railway Station, this would give me ample time to buy my return to Manchester. By this time, I only had about ten minutes to wait for my train, which was operated by London Midland.
It came four minutes late in the form of 350256. Upon arriving into Crewe, I purchased a snack, and a drink, whilst waiting for my 09.11 Virgin Train to Manchester. This came on time in the form of 11 car 390114. I arrived into Manchester at 09.49 and headed to the Metrolink station, to buy my Tram and Bus Saver ticket priced at £6.30.

I wanted to head for Shudehill, one of the main transport interchanges in the city centre of Manchester, so I boarded a Bury bound Metrolink tram which took me outside the bus interchange, where I took a few pictures, found below.
After visiting the Arndale Centre, I decided to go to the Trafford Centre, so, I took a Metrolink tram to Cornebrook, then another to Stretford, where Arriva North West’s Trafford Centre Shuttle ML1 runs to.
I only had 5 minutes to wait until the ML1 came, which was Arriva X272 OBN (2272) which was nice! This took me to the Trafford Centre Bus Station, and then I went to purchase lunch, after this I headed back to Manchester on the Stagecoach Manchester X50 service, where I rode a few more Metrolink trams to fill up the rest of the day.
After spending some time in Piccadilly Gardens, taking photos, it started raining, heavily! So then I headed back to Piccadilly, for my train home, which was 390118, followed by 350249 for anyone who happens to be interested. Overall, The trip was very enjoyable!
