Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire are once again opening the doors to their Lillyhall bus depot in Workington for an exclusive look behind the scenes this May!
The company has announced that its’ annual depot open day will take place this year on 26th May at Lillyhall bus depot which is situated on Lillyhall Industrial Estate, Blackwood Road, Workington.
The annual Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire Open Day is an ideal opportunity to explore behind the scenes at one of the North West’s many bus depots. It’ll be open to the public between 10 am and 4 pm where you will be able to discover a variety of buses from days gone by as well as some of the more modern buses in the fleet like the Lake Sider Open Topper.
Kids are sure to have fun when they get their photo taken with their name in lights on the front of a bus and if that wasn’t already good enough, you will be able to ride through the bus wash in a double decker bus.
For the grown-ups, there are many stalls with a variety of bus memorabilia to wander through, not to mention a variety of stands providing refreshments, plus there will be plenty of buses to photograph on the day.
Visitors are advised that parking isn’t available at the depot, so you are advised to use one of the shuttle services from Workington Bus Station. Entries of preserved vehicles and applications for trade stands are now being taken.
If anyone would like to attend with a vehicle or a trade stall then they should send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
