Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire held a successful open day at its Lillyhall bus depot, which is situated in Workington, Cumbria on Saturday 26th May 2018.
During the day visitors found out more about the Stagecoach Workington fleet which comprises around 50 buses and of five different models including Stagecoach Gold branded Scania N230UD’s for the X4, X5 and 300 services.
A number of visiting buses included the Manchester Together ADL Enviro400 from Stagecoach Manchester, a Lakes Connection ADL Enviro200 as well as a Lake Sider Open Topper from the Lake District.
There were stalls with a variety of bus memorabilia to wander through, not to mention a variety of stands providing refreshments, plus plenty of buses to photograph, along with a bus wash drive through – where people got to ride on a double decker bus through the bus wash.
This was the ideal opportunity for any budding bus enthusiast in the area to come and explore a working bus depot, along with the being able to discover a variety of buses from days gone by as well as some of the more modern buses in the fleet.
Please keep an eye out on our Facebook page and Instagram page for even more pictures from the day. I’d like to take the time to thank the organisers of this event for a very enjoyable event, particularly the variety of buses being used on the free shuttle services.
